Cody J. Brooks, 30, of Roseville (Avondale), died at 5:37 P.M. November 5, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 21, 1986 in Wheeling, WV. A son of Daniel E. Brooks and Diana Wisor White. He graduated from Maysville High School and Mideast Career Technical College class of 2005 in Custodial Services Programs. He participated in the Special Olympics and he enjoyed playing basketball, bowling, watching wrestling, playing in the Miracle League Baseball, and enjoyed food and his friends. He was employed at Foxfire School for four years. Surviving are his mother, Diana (Steve) White, of Roseville; his father Daniel (Joelle) Brooks, of Moundsville, WV; four sisters, Lanae (Justin) Middleton, Robyn (Andy) Kimble, Eryca (Brandon) Sommers, and Haley Brooks; a stepbrother, Danny Whitlatch; maternal grandparents, Keith and Jean Wisor and John White; paternal grandfather, Ronnie Brooks; nieces and nephews, Paiton Kimble, Cale Dodson, Haidon Kimble, Delaney Middleton, and Cooper Sommers; and many aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Belva White; paternal grandmother, Janet Brooks; and special maternal grandparents, Jaci and Francis Couden and a niece Greer Middleton. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at North Terrace Church of Christ, 1420 Brandywine Blvd., Zanesville with Pastor Joel Traylor officiating.
