Connor J. Helms

Connor Helms, 18, of Nashport, died at 6:15 A.M. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at his home. He was born July 11, 1996, in Columbus, a son of Eric and Michelle Smith Helms of Nashport. He was a member of Meadow View Church in Frazeysburg and attended Starlight School. Connor loved Gospel music, SpongeBob SquarePants and ice cream. He was always a happy boy with a large smile. Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers, Austin Helms and Ethan Helms both of the home, paternal grandmother, Carol Helms of Dresden, maternal grandfather, Terry (Sandi) Smith of Dresden, three uncles and aunts, Steve(Melanie) Smith of Caldwell, Sean (Amy) Helms of Adamsville and Kurt (Jodi) Helms of Coshocton, and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Fritz Helms and maternal grandmother, Cora Jane Smith. Friends and family may call from 4-8 P.M. on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014, with Mr. Sam Dunn officiating. Connor will be laid to rest at Irville Cemetery, Nashport. The family was grateful for the Special Wish Foundation for providing a family vacation to Dollywood- In Pigeon Forge, TN, which Connor enjoyed greatly.
