Cyril C. (Cliff) Pletcher, 81, of South Zanesville, died at 5:28 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2006 at the Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center. Cyril was born September 11, 1925, in Muskingum County, the son of the late Warren and Wanita Ashford Pletcher. He was a retired coal miner, a member of the Cornerstone Full Gospel Church, loved to hunt and raise Texas Longhorn cattle. Cyril was a avid traveler and enjoyed his vacations. Surviving are his wife, Donna Trout Pletcher of the home; four daughters, Darlene (Robert) Mason of Quaker City, Pat (Larry) Brassfield of White Cottage, Diane Kennedy of Zanesville and Edie Novaria of Duncan Falls; three sons, Tom (Sherri) Pletcher of McConnelsville, Cyril Pletcher Jr. of Norwich and Gary (Nancy) Pletcher of Zanesville; one step son, Timothy Michael Roberts Sr. of McConnelsville and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2006 with the Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
