Dale E. Miller

Dale E. Miller, 84, of Norwich, formerly of Dresden, died at 9:30 A.M. on Monday, January 19, 2015, at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born December 12, 1930, in Dresden, a son of the late Frank "Doc" and Marjorie Kohman Miller. He was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict, had worked for 37 years as Area Supervisor for Ohio Power, and was a member of North Terrace Church of Christ. He enjoyed attending the sporting events of his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, and was Tri-Valley's #1 Sports Fan. Surviving are two daughters, Kelly (Bob) Marker of Dayton and Saylor Miller of West Lafayette; two sons, Douglas (Vickie) Miller of Dresden and Jeff (Missy) Miller of Nashport; eleven grandchildren, Jason, Mellisa, Alex, Cole, Robbie, Rylan, Mandy, Cheyenne, Jordan, Dylan, and Alyssa; seven great grandchildren, Javen, Taylor, Ethan, Abigail, Emily, Adam, and Cylus; a brother Harry (Martha) Miller of Zanesville; and two sisters, Betty (Bob) Riley of Mason, GA, and Janie Shope of Columbus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Jacquie Warren and Michelle Miller; and a sister Rosemary Swope. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 23, 2015, with Mr. Bill Meaige officiating.
