Dale Robert Winegardner, 85, of Zanesville, died at 6:46 a.m. Sunday, June 4, 2006 at Columbus. He was born February 18, 1921 at Thornport, Ohio, a son of the late Dale R. & Erma Buker Winegardner. He had worked for Owens Corning Fiberglass and retired after over 30 years of service as a Drill Operator for Rockwell International and was a member of Hopewell Free Methodist Church, where he was the treasurer and Sunday School Teacher. Surviving are his wife, Esther L.Walter Winegardner of the home, four daughters, Dorene (Richard) Hunter of The Villages, FLA., Vicki (Thomas) Nixon of Columbus, Linda Winegardner of North Ft. Myers, Fla. And Lori (Donnie) Phillis of Hopewell, a son, Gary (Linda) Winegardner of Caldwell, twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, a brother, Charles (Evelyn) Winegardner of Newark and a sister, Lillie Stewart of Fredericktown. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Winegardner, a sister, Clara Shaffer, a granddaughter, Melissa Phillis and a great grandson, Michael Howland. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2006 with Rev. Tim Shumaker officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Sterling Cemetery, Mt. Sterling.
