David R Dixon

David R. Dixon, 68, of Zanesville, died at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at his residence. He was born September 23, 1942, in Warren, Ohio, a son of the late David L. Dixon and Mary Sherrick Quiriy. He was a self employed carpenter. Surviving is his wife, Judy Lynn Dixon, whom he married Sept. 12, 1987, of the home; four daughters, Carrie (Jeff) Clawson of Aurora, Colorado, Laurie (Richard) Ross of Port Orange, Florida, Ashley (Greg) Morelli of Mukwonago, Wisconsin and Leslie Dixon of Bunnell, Florida; 9 grandchildren, Chad and Corbin Korsgard, Amanda, Scott and Kristi Clawson, Katie and Kayla Ross, and David and Julia Morelli; and his loving pets, Jenny and Ginger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step parents, Vivian Dixon and Robert Quiriy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, 713 Forest Ave., Zanesville, Ohio 43701. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville where a Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with his sister-in-law, Sherry Swiger officiating.
