David J. Embree, 70, of Zanesville, died at 11:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at his home. He was born June 28, 1942, in Zanesville, a son of the late William and Nettie Hale Embree. He retired as a truck driver for Coca Cola after 38 years of service, and was a member of the Moose Lodge, Eagles Lodge #302, and American Legion Post #29. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Jane (Dana) West of Newark and Melissa (Mike Church) Embree of Zanesville; a grandson Nathan Bennett of Newark; two brothers, William (Kay) Embree of Columbus and twin brother Dan Embree of Nashville, TN; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Bob Embree; and four sisters, Mary Blackwood, Ruth Johns, Peggy Aggas, and Bonnie Embree. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. No funeral service will be held.
