David D. Fowlkes, 53, Zanesville (formerly from Maryland), died at 1:20am on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at The Morrison House in Zanesville after a three and a half year battle with cancer. He was born September 27, 1966 in Washington D.C. The son of Anne Marie (Hobson) Jones (Jeff) of Canton, Georgia and Ronald (Joyce) Fowlkes of Orlando, Florida. He enjoyed playing bass guitar in rock bands, going to concerts, movies, and doing home improvement. He worked at Lowe's Home Improvement from 2007 until he could no longer work there in 2017 .
He is survived by his wife, Dianna (Wooley) Fowlkes, his children Megan (Keith) Moore, Rachel (Alan Wolfe) Fowlkes, Sarah Fowlkes, Skylar Fowlkes, Luke Fowlkes, and Jake Fowlkes. Also, his grandfather Fenton James Hobson of Canton, Georgia, and grandchildren Hayden, Maddie, Rylie and Harlan Moore and Makenna Keith plus sister Cheryl Fowlkes, brothers Justin Jones, Ryan Fowlkes and Justin Fowlkes.
Preceding David in death were paternal grandparents, Oliver and Lydia Fowlkes. Plus maternal grandmother Annie Laura Hobson Murrell. And special niece Ashley Sears and sister Bonnie June Jones.
