David J. Laughlin

David J. Laughlin, 73, of Zanesville, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008 at his residence. He was born February 7, 1935, in Roseville, Ohio, the son of the late Harold and Dollie Smith Laughlin. David was a former sales manager for the Robinson-Ransbottom Pottery for over 20 years. He was a member of the Central Trinity United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir, was a former member of the Barber Shoppers and the Greater Zanesville Singers. David was an Army veteran, an avid golfer and enjoyed Zanesville High School football and basketball. Surviving are his wife, Jane E. Overman Laughlin, whom he married January 24, 1970, of the home; a son, Reg (Linda) Laughlin of West Jefferson, Ohio; two grandchildren, Jennifer Pollock and Matthew Laughlin, both of Cleveland, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Sagle. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the funeral home with Rev. Skip Colvin officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
