David A. Mercer Sr.

David A. “Dave” Mercer Sr., 65, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2024, at 11:30 PM. Dave was born to Charles H. Mercer and Melba K. (Gould) Mercer on September 27, 1958.

Surviving are his grandchildren Deandre and Marissa Mercer; a son David; his brother Charles J. and wife Jenny Mercer; and sister and caregiver Kathy K. Wells. Also surviving are family Brian and Regina Ranken Mercer Wolfe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Lewis (Mary) Linscott, Ronnie Linscott, and Terry Linscott; sisters Rayma (Harold) Pemberton and Sharon Lumbatis.

David proudly served his country in the US Army and was a faithful member of the Freedom City Church and its family, whom he loved very much.

BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, has been entrusted with all arrangements. Per David’s request, no calling hours will be observed.
