David Scott Penny, 35, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at his home. He was born November 15, 1980, in Santa Rosa, CA, a son of Charles Penny and Billie K. Hawkins Mautz. He was a veteran of the United States Army, received an Associate's Degree from Zane State in Information Technology, worked for Sunbelt Rentals in Columbus and South Carolina, and in the IT Department for Genesis Hospital. He loved sports, and was a fan of the Zanesville Blue Devils, Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals, and he enjoyed golfing at Green Valley. He is survived by a daughter Hanna Skyy Penny of Zanesville; a son Noah Polland of Hammond, LA; his father Charles (Monique) Penny of Fayetteville, NC; his mother Billie K. (Ronald) Mautz of Zanesville; a twin brother Christopher (Allison) Penny of Livingston, NJ; a nephew Jason Penny; and his step grandfather Gene Mautz of Zanesville. No calling hours or services will be held. A dignified cremation will take place and his cremains will be scattered over the ocean in Santa Rosa, CA. Arrangements were entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
