David Buddy Potts, 70, of Zanesville, died at 9:47 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Genesis Good Samaritan emergency room. He was born November 12, 1939, in Zanesville, a son of the late Delbert and Edna Mae Barrel Potts. He retired from Cooper Industries after 25 years of service and had worked for Lear Corporation. David was a U.S. Army Reserve Veteran serving for six years. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Maddox Potts, whom he married September 16, 1966, of the home, three daughters, Rita (Amy) Potts of Pataskala, Pam (Alan) Hill and Linda Potts, all of Zanesville; a son, David (Rodena) Potts of Zanesville; two grandchildren, Lisa Johnson and Devon Potts, both of Zanesville; three great grandchildren, Destiny McClintock, Tasia McClintock and Cory McClintock; two brothers, Robert (Diane) Potts and Richard (Phyllis) Potts, all of Zanesville; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jaymz McClintock; and a sister, Ruth Penn.
