Dean B. Williams, 57, of Zanesville died after a year and a half courageous battle with cancer at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Willow Haven Care Center. He was born on May 8, 1955 in Zanesville, a son of late Charles and Kathryn O'Bannon Williams. Dean retired after 36 years from Owens-Illinois as a machine maintainer. He later enjoyed driving cars for New Deal Used Cars. He was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church, the NRA and USGA. He was also an avid golfer, Ohio State Buckeye Fan and had a passion for traveling around the world. He is survived by his loving wife Vickie J. Miller Williams, whom he married on May 11, 1974; a daughter, Deania (Phillip) Russo of Denver, NC; a son, Johnny (Heather Sklenar) Williams of Zanesville; a sister, Debra (Larry) Lake of Hilliard, Oh; a brother, Derek Williams of Zanesville; two nephews, Andrew Lake and Mitchell Williams; two nieces, Michelle Williams and Naomi Harper; a very special family friend, Diane Kent of Zanesville; many numerous friends who have helped the family through these times and his puppy dog, Rusty. Friends and family may call from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, Oh 43701. Following the calling hours a dignified cremation will be held and a private family memorial service will take place at a later date. GO BUCKS!
