Delores Jean (Gebhart) Dankers

Delores Jean Dankers, 76, of Zanesville, died at 5:58 A.M. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born August 29, 1937, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Roy and Freda Krouskoupf Gebhart. She had worked in home health care, was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 302, and loved being a Foster Grandparent. Surviving are four daughters, Diane Elmore of Canal Winchester, Loraine Hooper of Akron, Diana Kenily of Zanesville, and Wendy Weatherington of Fayetteville, NC; three sons, Norman Tilton of FL, Keith Tilton of Zanesville, and Jerry Dankers of Somerset; a sister Rita (Gary) Guthrie of Duncan Falls; Patricia (Paul) Rambo of Hopewell, who was like a sister to Delores; seventeen grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Jerry Dankers; a daughter Kimberly Elmore; and a sister Beverly Cortez. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, February 21, 2014, with Pastor Sharon Williamson officiating. She will be entombed at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
