Deloris M. Dunn

February 24, 1925 — February 12, 2007

On February 12, 2007, our Lord called an angel home, Deloris M. (Dee) Dunn, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She touched the hearts and souls of all who knew her. She was born February 24, 1925, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Herman and Mary Jane Gill Mitchell. Dee and her late husband Earl, were the former owners and operators of Dunn's TV and Appliance. She was a longtime member of the Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Christian Women Luncheon Club and the Senior Centers. Surviving, loving mother of a daughter, Sylvia (Larry) Burchett of Zanesville; loving mother of a son, Rick (Kathy) Dunn, also of Zanesville; a loving sister and brother in-law, Madeline and Paul Hupp of New Albany, Ohio; loving sister in-law, Aileen Dunn of Zanesville; loving grandmother of five grandchildren, Randy (Rosa) Jones of Zanesville, Rhonda Heskett of Zanesville, Chad (Carrie) Dunn of New Albany, Ohio, Scott (Molly) Dunn of Nashport and Courtney (Brian) Lemity of Zanesville; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and many special loving nieces, nephews, friends, cousins, care givers and hospice. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl E. Dunn, who died January 16, 1998; a loving brother, Junior H. Mitchell and a very special person who was like a mother, Mildred L. Kuntz. Dee enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved her family and friends. She had many close friends that she treasured. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2007 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2007 at the funeral home with the Rev. Clarence Dinnen officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Euclid Ave. United Methodist Church.
