Diane J. Bailey

Diane J. Bailey, 62, of Zanesville, died at 11:31 p.m. Monday, January 1, 2007 at Genesis Good Samaritan hospital. She was born December 23, 1944, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Henry and Jane Scott Countryman. She was adapted and raised by her grandparents, Josie and Wesley Scott. She was an avid bingo player and loved to play video games. Surviving are her husband, Russell W. Bailey, whom she married May 3, 1974, of the home; two daughters, Gloria Grundy Bates and Barbara Ann (Brad) Welker, both of Zanesville; two sons, Albert Grundy of Nashport and Russell W. (Katheryn) Bailey of Newark; five sisters, Wanda Wilson of Zanesville, Henryetta (Hughey) Powell of Mead, OK., Sandra Presley, Cathy (George) Becerra and Josie (Jimmy) Burnett, all of Durant, OK.; three brothers, Cleveland (Vivian) Countryman of Palestine, TX, Dary Countryman of Victoria, TX and Anthony (Christie) Countryman of Durant, OK. and ten grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Countryman. Friends may call from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2007 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2007 at the funeral home with Pastor Vernon Small officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
