Donald Alexander Eversberg Sr., 83, died at 5:00 P.M. on Monday, November 18, 2013, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born January 10, 1930, in Syracuse, New York, a son of the late Alfred Alexander and Dorthea Marie Stengel Eversberg. He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1956. He worked for Boeing, NASA and General Dynamics. His years at NASA encompassed the Gemini, Apollo, and Shuttle Manned Space Program. He was a proud Korean Conflict Veteran of the United States Air Force. His interests included Civil Aviation; he was a private pilot and he restored Vintage Ercoupe and Cessna 175. For many years he was a volunteer at Airventure at Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He is survived by his loving wife Helen Murphy Bruns Eversberg; his step-children Ernie (Denise) Bruns of Zanesville and Amy (Richard) Girardot of Westchester, Cincinnati; his first wife Pauline Stringer Eversberg and their five children, Donald Jr., Ronald, Luanne, Felicia, and Stephanie; his twelve grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Suzanne. In keeping with his wishes, Donald's body will be cremated and his cremains will be interred at Garden of Faith, Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, and his family will hold a private service at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home & Crematory, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville.
