Donald M. Miller, 77, of Zanesville died at 4:40 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2004 at his home. He was born October 24, 1926 in Malta, Ohio a son of the late William Branson and Myrtle Fulton Miller. He retired in 1988 after 41 years of service as Office Manager and Secretary Treasurer of Sidwell Brothers Corporation. He was a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church, a World War II Air Force Veteran, member of Amity Lodge # 5 F& AM, Scottish Rite, Amrou Grotto # 45 Zavi Shrine, Elks Lodge # 114, Ducks Unlimited, Buckeye State Sheriffs Association and American Legion Post 29. He was an avid boater, loved to pitch horseshoes and enjoyed music and playing the fiddle. Surviving are his wife, Judith Ann Bryan Miller, whom he married May 22, 1987, four daughters, Linda ( David ) Rankin of Columbus, Brenda ( Marshall ) Atwood and, Debra ( John ) Melsheimer both of Zanesville and Pamela Shirer of Marysville, a son, Donie ( Vickie ) Miller of Gillette, WY, grandchildren, D. Scott Rankin, Scott, Chad & Lance Atwood, Sara Miller, Shawn, Jennifer ( Allen ), John Ryan, Whitney, and Megan Melsheimer, Heather Lewis and Kyle Shirer, great grandchildren, Cassady & David Rankin, Emma Allen and Brayden and Brody Lewis, three step-daughters, Cindy ( Dan ) Smith of Mt. Perry, Lori ( Scott ) Stalnaker of Westerville and Kelly Fisher of Orient, Ohio, three step-sons, Jeff ( Cindy ) Clossman of Roseville, Randy ( Alisha ) Clossman of Nashport and Greg ( Julie ) Clossman of Zanesville, thirteen step- grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sara Croy Miller, who died August 23, 1984, one sister, Dorothy Vorhies and a brother, Roy Miller and three grandchildren Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 10 : 00 A.M. Wednesday, June 16, 2004 with Mr. Brad Giffin of the North Terrance Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. Amity Lodge will hold Masonic service at 6p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and VFW George Selam Post 1058 will hold military rites at the grave.
