Donald A. Pierce

Donald A. Pierce, 77, of Zanesville, died at 1:30 A.M. on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Cedar Hill Care Center. He was born July 27, 1935, in Zanesville, a son of the late Adrian Pierce and Ruth E. Baseheart Pierce. He graduated from Philo High School, had worked as a Dock Man at Putnam Transfer, was a Teamster Retiree, and a member of the Tecumseh Ramblers #261. Surviving are his wife of 57 years whom he married June 15, 1956, Patty Lou Krouskoupf Pierce, of the home; a daughter Pippa Pierce of Temecula, CA; a brother Richard (Ellen) Pierce of TN; a sister Sandra Corns of Zanesville; many nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law Ruth Krouskoupf of Zanesville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Donald Shawn Pierce; and a sister Sherry Plants. Friends and family may call from 3:00-6:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, June 24, 2013 with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
