Donald R. West

Donald Ray West, 78, of Zanesville on Saturday June 19, 2004 at 5:45p.m. the Lord smiled down on Donald and took him home with him. He was born March 29, 1926 in Zanesville, a son of the late Walter R. & Flora Sorrell West. Donald retired from Rockwell International, was a World War II Army Veteran, was a faithful member of North Terrace Church Of Christ, was a bee keeper. He loved his Christian family and was loved by all who knew him. Surviving are four children, David R. ( Diane ) West and Donna J. Hannigan both of Zanesville, Dennis J. ( Terriann ) West of Summerfield and Dale West of Cambridge, a very special friend, Opal King of Zanesville, eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, two brothers, Bernard ( Joyce ) West of Zanesville and Leonard ( Ida ) West of Sparta, Missouri. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia M. West, who died February 14, 2001, a son, Daniel A. West and a grandson, Walter West. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2004 at The Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville and one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at The North Terrace Church of Christ, 1420 Brandywine Blvd with Minister Eric Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold military rites at the grave. He will be sadly missed by all who had crossed his path in Life, But be forever in our hearts and in God's hands in Heaven.
