Donald E. Winland

Donald E. Winland, 91, of Zanesville, died at 1:54 A.M. on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at The Oaks at Bethesda. He was born July 17, 1930 in Zanesville,a son of the late Walter Sr. and Rosella Barnett Winland. He was a well-known for Winland’s Body Shop, liked to golf and watch all the kids in the family at anything they participated in. Don was a member of LaFayette Lodge #79 F&AM and the Amrou Grotto #45.

He is survived by a daughter, Gayle (Bob) Howard of Zanesville and a son, Rick (Bonnie) Winland of Zanesville; four grandchildren, R.D. (Stephanie) Winland of Zanesville, Chad (Ann) Howard of Zanesville, Wendy(Chris Cooper) Winland of Zanesville, and Heather (Josh) Burch of North Carolina; nine great-grandchildren, Cameron (Chloe) James, Kirkland ( Ellie Wolfe) James, Savannah James, Carter Winland, Ellie Winland, Luke Howard, Brody Howard, Julia Burch, and Eva Burch; two great-great grandchildren, Everly and Addley James; a sister, Carol Roll of Zanesville; sister-in-law, Judy Mount and brother-in-law, Bill Mount.

In addition to her parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria A. Winland, December 5, 2016 and two brothers, Kenneth Winland and Walter Winland Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Private family services will be held Sunday, December 12, 2021 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville beside his beloved wife, Gloria.
