Donna Mae (Farquhar) Allen

Donna Mae Allen, 77, of Zanesville, died at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born May 6, 1934, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Curtis Woodrow and Adrienne Achauer Farquhar. She retired after 33 years of service as an assembler for March Electric in Cambridge, OH. She was a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary for 37 years and IBEW. Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Norman "Bud" Allen, whom she married February 8, 1958, of the home; two sons, Randy (Christina) Allen of Zanesville and Terry Allen of Canal Winchester; a daughter, Tamara L. (Randall) Bonner of Teague, TX; 7 grandchildren, Brady (Traci Bowen) Allen, Nicole Parks, Randy (May) Taylor, Crystal Ward, Christopher (Kim) Balsley, Michael (Melissa) Balsley and Bella Allen; 15 great grandchildren, Natasha Williams, Abbi Allen, Camron Allen, Stephanie Bowen, Taelee Rae Lacy, Austin Ruff, Dylan Ruff, Caden Balsley, Abigail Marie Balsley, Carley and McKenzie Balsley, Wesley May, McKenzie May, Matti May and Thomas "Jake" Meyers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis and Richard Dean Farquhar. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the funeral home with Mr. Jim Clark officiating. Donna will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
