Dora I. (Mcintyre) Beitzel

Dora I. McIntyre Beitzel, 88, of Zanesville, died peacefully at 7:17 A.M. on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at her home. She was born February 28, 1926 in New Philadelphia, Ohio a daughter of the late John and Ada Gartrell McIntyre. She was a member of the Central Trinity United Methodist Church. Dora was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. Her family and friends were her passion and delight. Spending time with her children and four grandchildren gave her the most joy. She enjoyed playing golf especially in the Friday Frolics at the Zanesville Country Club and volunteering at Bethesda Hospital. Dora will be especially remembered for her kindness, compassion and selfless nature. Surviving are a son, David (Nancy) Beitzel of Zanesville; a daughter, Janet (Dan) Geswein of Dublin; four grandchildren, Robert Beitzel of Zanesville, Ann (Kyle) Fleck of Columbus, Michael Geswein of Cincinnati, and Andrea (Alex)Condos of Powell; a brother, William "Bill" (Betty) McIntyre of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters-in-law, Beatrice McIntyre of Tempe, AZ and Irene Bentzel of Chandler, AZ and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband Robert D. Beitzel who died on August 8, 2012; a brother, Charles (Chuck) McIntrye; and a brother-in-law, Gerald Bentzel. Friends and family may call from 4-7 P.M. on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE and also one hour prior at the church. Funeral service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Central Trinity United Methodist Church, 62 South Seventh Street, Zanesville, OH with Rev. D. L. Steven Fewell officiating. Dora will be laid to rest next to her husband at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Central Trinity United Methodist Church, 62 South Seventh Street, Zanesville, Ohio or to the Genesis Hospice- Morrison House, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701
