Dorothy E. Clark

Dorothy E. Clark, 88, of Zanesville, died at 2:30 A.M. on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at The Oaks at Northpointe, Zanesville. She was born October 5, 1929, in Zanesville, to the late Wilbur and Rosetta Boyer Merriam. She was a member of First Christian Church. Dorothy retired from UTC after thirty-five years of service. Surviving are her son, Tim (Kathy) Clark and a daughter-in-law, Valencia Clark; three grandchildren, Christopher (Jen) Clark, Brian (Jamie) Clark, and Ryan Clark; and five great-grandchildren, Charlie, Henry, Annabelle, Garrett, and Alex Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Clark, whom she married December 24, 1949 and died June 5, 1991; a son, Terry R. Clark, who died July 22, 2018; a brother, Norman Merriam; and six sisters, Helen Moore, Mary Jane Berwinkle, Juanita Williamson, Katherine Snack, Hildred Bednarczuk, and Annabelle Ripley. Friends and family may call from 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Dawn Remster officiating. She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery, Sonora, Ohio.
