Dorothy Covert

Dorothy Covert, 90, of Cincinnati, formerly of Zanesville died at 3:05 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2006 at Twin Towers in Cincinnati. She was born January 28, 1916 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Charles and Georgia Wilson Morrison. She retired as the Assistant Director for Zanesville Metropolitan Housing Authority after 25 years of service, was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Elks Club Ladies Auxiliary and Junior Women's Club. Surviving are her daughter; Sherry (David) Gries of Cincinnati, two grandchildren; Christopher Gries of Tampa, Florida and Edward (Cindy) Gries of Sarasota, Florida. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice C. Covert, who died December 5, 1997. No calling hours or services will be held. A caring cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville.
