Dorothy L. (Banks) Hambel

Dorothy L. Hambel, 84, of Zanesville, died at 5:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Adams Lane Care Center. She was born October 28, 1927 in Steubenville, a daughter of the late John E. and Alice Ford Banks. She had worked as a Registered Nurse for Willow Haven Care Center , graduated from Steubenville High School and The Bethesda School of Nursing. Surviving are a daughter, Mona L. (William) Elliott of Zanesville; a son, Mark S. (Peggy) Hambel of Zanesville; two grandsons, Sean Elliott of Reynoldsburg and Brad (Melissa) Elliott of Zanesville; and a great granddaughter, Emma Elliott. No calling hours will be held. Private family graveside services will be held at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. The family has entrusted Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville with all arrangements.
