Dorothy L. Kackley, 95, of South Zanesville, went to be with the Lord at 6:55 P.M. on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born June 26, 1921, in Zanesville, daughter of the late John E. and Edna Pauline Armstrong Taylor. She was Methodist by faith and a member of Eastern Star. She had been employed by Essex Wire, United Technology, and Williams Bakery. She is survived by a son, John (Cathy) Kackley, of Warsaw; a daughter, Marsha Swope, of Blue Rock; seven grandchildren, Joe Swope, Teresa Putnam, Tracy (Mike) Nasser, Michaela Baughman, Penny (Mike) Murasky, Jennifer (Mike) Van Ness, and Sonia Baughman; fourteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, John William Kackley, who died in 1970; a daughter, Sandra Baughman; a great-granddaughter, Melinda Swope; a sister, Betty Lavy; two son-in-laws, Edward Joe Swope and Charles Sonny Baughman. A dignified cremation will take place and Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Zanesville, at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating.
