Dorothy Kearns

January 25, 1908 — February 23, 2006

Dorothy L. Kearns, 98, of 1854 Norwood Blvd., went to be with her Lord at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2006 at the Helen Purcell Home. She was born January 25, 1908 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Christopher and Emma Behnlien Wagner. Dorothy was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ, a former member of the Timber Run Grange and a former employee of the West Muskingum School District. Surviving are her daughter, Ardith (John) Beardmore of Clinton MI.,and a son, Roger (Carolyn) Kearns of Cody WY. eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband John H. Kearns, who died August 22, 1991, by four sisters, Lulu Terry, Pearl Redman, Edith Francis and Frances Wagner. Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2006 with the Rev. Virginia Ress officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery, Zanesville. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Canton Area Office, 4815 Munson St. N. W., Canton, Ohio, 44718 or to the Immanuel United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, South Seventh St., Zanesville Ohio 43701.
