Dorothy A. Ralph, 85, of Zanesville, died at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, November 12, 2006 at the Muskingum County Home. She was born April 3, 1921, in Bladen, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert and Eunice Porter Franklin. Dorothy spent most of her life in the Zanesville area and retired in the packing department at the old Hazel Atlas Glass Co. She was an avid bowler, quilter and enjoyed going to Ohio Ferro Alloy softball games. Surviving are three daughters, Kitty (Glenn) Winters of Zanesville, Carol (Tom) Mathews of Norwich and Nancy (Delbert) Pierce of Zanesville; two sons, Raymond (Bonnie) Ralph and Loren R. (Pat) Ralph, both of Zanesville; one sister, Esther Davis of Zanesville; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Raymond V. Ralph, who died in 1980; by three sisters, Pauline Secrest, Imogene Franklin and Delores Mingus; five brothers, Harry, Myron, Robert, Ernest and Walter Franklin and one granddaughter, Kitty Lynn Ore. Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave, Zanesville Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Roy Keyser officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Fork Cemetery
