Douglas W. Frith, 65, of Hope, Arkansas, died at 3:47 P.M. on Friday, July 11, 2014, at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born June 13, 1949, in Monroe, Louisiana, a son of the late Earl Barton Peters and Emma Lee Bearden Peters Chapman. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, and had retired in 2013 after over 40 years as a truck driver for Howard Webb Trucking. Douglas was an avid fisherman who loved square dancing, singing, playing his guitar, drag racing, and WWE. He enjoyed living life and especially spending time with his family. Surviving are two daughters, Michelle (Dusty) Derry of New Concord, and Stephanie Harwell of Pea Ridge, AR; six grandchildren, Dustin Chappelear, Tori Flesher, and Logan, Dalton, Mason, and Madison Harwell; two brothers, Allen (Susan) Peters of St. George, UT, and Roy (Marian) Peters of Oakdale, LA; and two sisters, Donita (Ronnie) Dyer of Springhill, LA, and Marcia (Vernon Colon) Peters of Hope, AR. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Plunkett. No calling hours will be observed. The family will hold a memorial service in Hope, AR, at a later date. A dignified cremation has taken place and arrangements were entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
