Douglas S. George

Douglas George, 49, of Norwich died at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at his home. He was born December 27, 1957 a son of Hazel Reed George of Hopewell and the late Lloyd George. He was a carpenter and worked for his father, Lloyd George of George's Sandblasting. Doug was an avid gardener. Surviving in addition to his mother, are two daughters; Amanda George of Zanesville and Christina George of Norwich, four grandchildren; Carolyn and Jamie George and Anthony Jenkins and Abigale Brill, three brothers; David (Donna) George of Columbus, Darrell George and Daniel George both of Norwich. Besides his father he was preceded in death by two grandchildren; Destiny George and Jason George. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2007 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Norwich United Presbyterian Cemetery, Norwich.
