Dr. Wilson T. Axline, Dentist Dr. Wilson T. Axline, died October 1, 2006 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. Dr. Axline was born in Zanesville, December 3, 1914, to Dr. Theodore E. Axline and Golda Wilson Axline. He was a brother to Virginia Axline (Joseph) Schultz (deceased) and husband to Helen Maria Decker (deceased) and Virginia McFarland Bonifield Axline (deceased). Wilson "Ace" Axline graduated from Lash High School and The Ohio State University School of Dentistry, before becoming a dentist in Newark, Ohio. He served in the US Navy during World War II, leaving the service with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. After leaving the service, he returned to Zanesville, where he practiced dentistry for more than 40 years. He is survived by his children, Robin Jane (Thomas) Scanlon, of Kensington, Maryland, William Andrew Axline, of Ottawa, Canada, Kristine Maria (Jonathon) Swedlund of Naperville, Illinois and a stepson, John Mark Bonifield, of Zanesville. He is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. No calling hours will be observed and no funeral services will be held. A caring cremation has taken place. Burial will take place in Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Genesis Hospice Morrison House. All funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville.
