Dunize Collins, 89, formerly of Zanesville, died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Columbus West Park Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born October 27, 1917, in Lincoln County, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Frank and Nora Elizabeth Osborn Cresswell. She was a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church, WWII Air Force Veteran, Red Cross Volunteer at Bethesda Hospital for 17 years and a Girl Scout Leader for 2 years. Surviving are a daughter, Brenda Gail (Eddie) Ewing of Grove City, Ohio; a son, Jerry Gene (Tammy) Collins of Indianapolis, Indiana; a granddaughter, Bethany (Terrence) Hilyard; a grandson, Eric (Christa) Ewing; two great grandchildren, Caleigh Hilyard and Elias Ewing; two sisters, Coleen (Don) Hanawalt of Mount Sterling, Ohio and Joyce (Charles) Towne of Littleton, Colorado and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne E. Collins, who died September 12, 1991; three sisters and five brothers. Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2007 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 13, 2007 at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
