Earle Vernon Lemmon

Earle Vernon Lemmon, 73, of Zanesville, died at 3:09 P.M. on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 11, 1940, in Jackson Township, PA, a son of the late Earle Milton and Bertha May Thomas Lemmon. He was a Hopewell High School graduate, retired after 38 years as a Train Master for CSX Railroad, and was a Lifetime Member of the NRA. He also enjoyed playing basketball, hunting, cooking, and reading. Surviving are a son, Michael (Sue) Lemmon; a daughter, Michele (Mark) Fisher; three grandchildren, Mason, Michael, and Macade Fisher; and a cousin, Richard Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Lemmon, who passed away in 2006; a sister, Marjorie Warner; and a brother-in-law, Gilbert Warner. No calling hours will be observed. At his request, a dignified cremation has taken place and arrangements were entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. An open house to remember Earle will be held from 1:00-3:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Timber Run Grange, 4065 West Pike, Route 40 West, Zanesville, Ohio 43701. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Muskingum Athletic Fund: 4880 West Pike, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
