Eddie Joseph Jr., 88, of Zanesville, went to be with the Lord at 5:10 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born March 20, 1923, in Zanesville, a son of the late Eddie Sr. and Fahema Nassif Joseph. He was a bus driver for 40 years for ZBus. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and had volunteered at Bethesda Hospital. He was a United States Navy World War II Veteran, where he served as a torpedo man and was awarded many accommodations. Surviving are a son, Thomas; a brother, David (Shirley); several grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Mae Joseph; two sons, Ricky and Eddie; a daughter, Terri; two sisters, Willimeana and Theckla; and two brothers, Donald and Eugene. Friends and family may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Mt. Olive Cemetery with Father Jordan Turano, O.P. officiating. The United States Navy in conjunction with VFW George Selsam Post #1058 will hold full military rites at the gravesite.
