Edgar D. King, 94, of Zanesville, died at 4:10 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the New Albany Care Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born May 18, 1913, in Zanesville, a son of the late Dremus M. and Blanche Tharp King. He retired as a Tool & Die Maker for McGraw Edison & Mosaic Tile. He was a real estate agent for Findeiss Realty and was a charter member of the South Zanesville Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are a son, Donald (Shirley) King of Overland Park, Kansas; a daughter, Mary Lou (Robert) Grundy of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren, Scott King, Michele Klavohn, Steven Grundy and Lisa Lewis; eight great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Wilma McAfee and Opal Chapman and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Bird King, who died January 6, 2003 and two brothers, Marion and Harold King. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville and one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the South Zanesville Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Walt Gessner and Pastor Steve Brown officiating. Entombment will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
