Edith A. Bowers, 89, of Zanesville, died at 9:20 A.M. on Monday, July 18, 2016, at The Oaks at Northpointe. She was born March 30, 1927 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late George R. Davis and Ella Jenkins Davis. She was a homemaker and member of the Market Street Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Theresa (Robert) Workman of Coshocton; grandson, Jason Workman of Glendale, Arizona; two great-grandchildren Claire and Max; sister-in-law Janice Davis of Zanesville; brother-in-law Warren (Lucy) Bowers of South Zanesville; and special niece Debbie Smith of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Pete Bowers, who died March 19, 2003; seven sisters, Emma Hagan, Eileen Mohr, Marian Clossen, Virginia Smith, Anna Sims, Bernice Wright, and Wilda Chema; and two brothers, Charles Davis and George R.
