Edith Marie Fritz

Edith M. Fritz, Age 95 of Zanesville, died peacefully in her sleep at 5:30am on Friday, December 03, 2004 at her residence of 1854 Norwood Blvd. Born September 2, 1909 in Zanesville, she was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She married Russell L. Fritz on August 5, 1928 and was married to him for 72 years until his death in 2001. The passion of her life was their only child Donald W. Fritz who recently passed away in October 2003 at the age of 74. Edith's favorite hobbies were bowling, crossword puzzles, playing cards and crocheting. It was always a special treat to get a handmade crocheted present from Edith. Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Rosaline Hupp Fritz of Henderson, Nevada (formerly of Zanesville); three granddaughters whom all called her "Mammoo"; Rebecca (Craig) Handel of Henderson, Nevada; Janet Fritz of Dallas, Texas and Constance (Carl) Nelson of Arvada, Colorado; and eight great-grandchildren, Her sister, Hannah (Mary) Leslie also of 1854 Norwood Blvd. survives her as do many nephews, nieces and her special wonderful friends Ginny and Carl Gutridge of Nashport, Ohio. Besides her husband and son, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Aimee Leslie; and four brothers. Calling hours will be 6-8 pm on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at Bolin Funeral Home 1271 Blue Avenue. Services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at the funeral home with Rev. John Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park.
