Edward Spinks, 80, of Zanesville, died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2007 at the Ohio State Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born March 26, 1927, in Zanesville, the son of the late Edward C. and Georgie Colopy Spinks. Mr. Spinks was a seventeen year employee of the United Technology Corp, a member of the Market Street Baptist Church and served his country as an Army Veteran of WW II. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ann Hanes Spinks of the home; two sisters, Virginia Grandstaff and Norma Willis, both of Zanesville and a brother, James (Judy) Spinks of Zanesville. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Elmer and Donald Spinks. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville, with the Rev. Scott Johnston officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. Friends may call 12:00 noon till service time at the funeral home.
