Eileen M (Finley) Ziemer

Eileen M. Ziemer, 86, of Zanesville, died at 5:10 A.M. on Friday, November 09, 2012, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 17, 1926, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Roy T. and Flora Hager Finley. She retired as a cashier from Ross IGA and was a member of First Christian Church. Surviving are two sons, David (Mary) Ziemer of Matthews, NC and Daniel (Marilyn) Ziemer of Zanesville; four daughters, Nancy (Charles) Pearson of Temecula, CA, Joan (Butch) Armstrong of Zanesville, Teresa (John Smitley) Ziemer of Zanesville, and Christine (Roger) Carper of Zanesville; eight grandchildren, Tacey (Chris) Villalobos, Michelle Elliot, Amy (Chad) Wilson, Ryan (Nicole) Ziemer, Clarissa (Alex Fields) Carper, Kyle Ziemer, Roger (Teresa) Carper Jr., and Veronica (Travis) Kain; twenty great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews including William (Pam) Teetz of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Evelyn Teetz; two nephews, Thomas Teetz and Bill Ziemer; mother-in-law Georgia "Peg" Ziemer; and the father of her children, Bernard D. Ziemer. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M and 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 11, 2012, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 12, 2012, with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice-Morrison House: 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
