Eleanor E. Roach McDonald, 93, of Zanesville, died Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 5:05 p.m. at Cedar Hill Care Center. She was born December 21, 1916, in Zanesville, to the late Clyde M. & Dorothy B. Smeltzer Roach. Eleanor was employed at Mosaic Tile, Essex Wire and NCR and later retired after 25 years at Genesis Bethesda Hospital as a foster grandparent. She is survived by three grandchildren, Louis (Debbie House) Joseph, Eleanor (Shawn) Kerby and Peg (Jack) Kinder, all of Zanesville; a son-in-law, Russ Stevens of Zanesville; nine great grandchildren; and fifteen great-great grand children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Stevens; a grandson, Clyde R. Joseph; five brothers, Walter Roach, Clyde Roach, James Roach, Herbert Roach and Richard Roach; and three sisters, Marjorie Roach, Mary Sweet and Marion Bay. Private calling hours will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Greenwood Cemetery, Zanesville with Pastor Joe DiVincenzo officiating.
