Eleanor M. Porter

Eleanor M. Porter, 80, of 2991 N. Maple Ave., died at 1:15 am Saturday, October 30, 2004 at the Genesis Extended Care and Rehab Center. She was born August 27, 1924, in Muskingum County, the daughter of the late Leroy E. And Edith Taylor Smitley.Mrs. Porter was a retired Clerk at the Muskingum County Treasurers Office and a protestant by faith. Surviving are two daughters, Linda (John) Hayman of N.C., and Nancy (Richard) Dunmire of Columbus Ohio, two sons, Edwin Porter of Roseville, Ohio, and Terence (Karen) Porter of Zanesville, and one brother Wendell (Sally) Smitley of Zanesville, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Porter, (4/3/1989). Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, November 4, 2004 at the Zanesville Memorial Park with Rev. Ruby Hill officiating. No calling hours will be observed. Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville entrusted with all arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alfred Carr Adult Day Services, 1035 Beverly Ave., Zanesville, Ohio.
