Eligene Dickson Buchanan

Eligene Dickson Buchanan, age 82, of Zanesville, died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care. She was born September 11, 1921 in Muskingum County the daughter of the late Orris Stevenson and Annette Tusing Dickson. Mrs. Buchanan retired 1n 1945 as an operator at Ohio Bell and was a faithful member of the Coburn United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, James Herbert Buchanan, whom she married 21, 1945), one daughter and son in-law, Janet & Richard Lee of Takoma Park, MD., one son and daughter in-law, Roger & Marianne Buchanan of Ellicott City MD., two brothers, William Ellis and wife Mildred Dickson and Gordon Dickson of Zanesville, three grandchildren, Jesse Charles Lee, Samanatha Ann Lee, and Ian Phillip Buchanan. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Clagett and Lucile Porter, and two brothers, Paul Ronald Dickson and Orris Robert Dickson. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, April 10th, 2004 at the Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville, with Rev. Alice Baldwin officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to service time. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Coburn United Methodist Church
