Elinor S. Lyon, 85, of Zanesville, OH, died on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at the Cedar Hill Care Center, Zanesville, OH. She was born May 6, 1930, in Ithaca, NY, a daughter of the late Rexford and Grace Puderbaugh Smith. She was a homemaker, a longtime member of Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church, an avid bridge player playing at least twice a week, and a bowler in several leagues at Military Lanes. Surviving are her loving husband of 67 years, William J. Lyon, whom she married September 5, 1948, of the home; a son David (Colleen) Lyon of Belchertown, MA.; a daughter Barbara (Patrick) Henry of Pelham, AL; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and special friends, Tess Caley and Debbie Callahan; and her cat Tai. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, OH, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M.
