Elizabeth Ann (Moore) Schneider

February 10, 1941 — July 13, 2011

Elizabeth Ann Schneider, 70, of Dresden, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at her residence. She was born February 10, 1941, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Fred and Nellie Moore. She graduated from Zanesville High School. She had worked as an assistant dietician before working in the housekeeping department for 16 years for Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a member of the National Humane Society and a former member of the Arbor Society. She loved her family and was a firm believer in Jesus Christ. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, James M. Schneider, whom she married September 4, 1960, of the home; three daughters, Lisa (Gail) Shaw of Zanesville, Theresa (Edgar) Bonifield of Dresden and Misty Schneider of Zanesville; a grandson, William Shaw of Zanesville; a brother, Russell Eugene Moore of Zanesville; a half sister, Glenna (Jeff) Coffey of Zanesville; five brothers-in-law, Martin (Betty) Schneider of Zanesville, Ernie (Judy) Schneider of Columbus, Fred (Cheryl) Schneider of Dresden, Mike (Kerri) Schneider of Philo and Danny (Cindy) Schneider of Dresden; a sister-in-law, Mary Walker of Zanesville; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and a family friend, Edward Kiggans of Akron. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers,Retired Sgt. Jim Moore and Freddie Moore; a sister, Vera Horton; and two sisters-in-law, Pam and Susan Schneider. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2011 at the funeral home with Mr. Danny Harp officiating. Elizabeth will be laid to rest at the Schneider Family Cemetery in Dresden. It was Elizabeth's wishes to not have flowers at her funeral, therefore, memorial contributions may be made to the National Humane Society.
