Elizabeth C. Smith

Elizabeth C. "Betty" Smith , 92, of Zanesville, died at 3:50 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2006 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born May 11, 1913, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Cydnor T. And Elizabeth J. Hivnor Anderson. She had worked for the Licking View Canvas Plant and Kreesges Department Store. Betty was a longtime member of Coburn United Methodist Church and was a member of Easter Star Chapter 52. Surviving are a son, Gary L.( Carolyn) Smith of Granville, a daughter, Connie Axline of Galion, ten grandchildren, Randy Smith, Rudy Smith, Lauren Mainini, Erin Cockley, Kelly Nunn, Kathi Finck, Rich Axline, Michael Axline, Maurni Brocwell and Les Cotter, twenty six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, a nephew, Kenny Andersen and a niece, Norma Harris. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Deane C. Smith, whom she married July 7, 1931 and who died January 18, 1974, three brothers and a sister. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 20, 2006 with Rev. Doris Flynn officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
