Eloise R. (Taylor) Miller

November 28, 1925 — December 2, 2013

Eloise Ruth Miller, 88, of Hopewell, died at 9:00 P.M. Monday, December 2, 2013, at The Helen Purcell Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 28, 1925, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late George "Mac" and Ella Lusby Taylor. She was Co-Owner of Miller Auto Wrecking. Surviving are a daughter, Eloise Bishop of Zanesville; two sons, William P. (Joy) Miller Jr. of Zanesville and James P. (Paulette) Miller of Hopewell; seven grandchildren, William Bishop, Tim Bishop, Melissa Brown, Melanie Oats, Joe Miller, James Miller, and Julie Mills; and thirteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years William Peter "Pete" Miller, whom she married May 19, 1941, and who died February 10, 2008; a grandson Jason Miller; a great grandson Zack Bishop; a son-in-law William P. Bishop; two sisters, Sophia Bay and Mary VanDyne; and a brother Max McClelland. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 6, 2013, with Dr. James Miller officiating. Eloise will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Pete at Williams Cemetery, Zanesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice-Morrison House: 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
