Elsie E (Mccully) Ray

Elsie E. McCully Ray, 94, of Zanesville, died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville. She was born January 26, 1916, in East Springfield, Jefferson County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Anson M. and Eunice F. Howell McCully. She retired as a salesperson for Weber's Department Store and Mae Weaver Fashion. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star #485 and Rosa Shrine #8 White Shrine of Jerusalem. Surviving are two daughters, Linda (Brent) Greer of McConnelsville, OH and Kathleen (Lonnie) Mudgett of Hemlock, MI; six grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin J. Ray, who died August 17, 1995; four brothers, Harold, Thomas, Perry and James McCully; two sisters, Florence Blockinger and Marie Burris; and a grandson, Lonnie Stephen Mudgett. Calling hours will begin at 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville with Rev. Dawn Remster officiating.
