Elvert Marvin Canada

Elvert Marty Canada, 74, of Zanesville, died at 8:50 A.M. on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Genesis Hospital. He was born on December 10, 1941 in Russell Springs, Kentucky to the late Renzo Rufus and Donna Jane Wilson Canada. He was in the United States Navy, enjoyed studying history, and was known to be on the cutting edge of electronics. Surviving are his loving wife Mary Ellen Criswell Canada of the home whom he married August 4, 1974; a son, Jason (Angie) Canada of Salt Lake City, Utah; a daughter Bethany (Chad) Stanley of Newark; three grandchildren, Rowan, Mica, and Eden; a sister, Jane Ellen (Thomas) Clark; two nephews, Mark and Mike; and his pet companion, Chewie. A dignified cremation will take place. A celebration of life service will be held November 15, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Inn at EagleSticks, 2655 Maysville Pike, Zanesville.
