Elza Everett Jameson

Everett "Dagwood" Jameson, 87, died at 3:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Autumn Healthcare. He was born November 2, 1919, in Roseville, a son of the late Elza and Margaret Kysor Jameson. He was owner & operator of Speed-O-Print and worked in the shoe and men's clothing departments at JC Penney's. He was a member of North Terrace Church of Christ, a World War II Navy Veteran, Chairman of the March of Dimes in 1952 and a former member of Sertoma, where he served as secretary. He enjoyed all sports and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and he enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren in their musical endeavors. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Georgia E. "Peggy" Williamson Jameson, whom he married September 30, 1939, of the home; a daughter, Sharon K. (F.E.) Dale of Pensacola, Florida; a son, Tim (Tina) Jameson of Dublin, Ohio; three grandchildren, Tracie Ann Johnson, Josh Jameson and Grant Jameson ; three great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a niece, Cinda Mae (Fred) Cubbison of New Concord; a nephew, Dennis (Patty) Jameson of New Concord and a sister-in-law, Virginia Jameson of New Concord. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dick Jameson and a sister, Helen Longstreth. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2007 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville and one hour prior to services. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2007 at the funeral home with Mr. William Meaige officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold full military rites at the gravesite.
